COATO
is an agricultural cooperative company
founded in 1979 by 65 pepper and paprika
growers from the Totana area (Murcia). Since
then it has established itself as one of the most
important cooperatives is its field extending to
other areas such as fruits, fresh vegetables,
olive oil, almond, honey etc. Gathering the
most important quality and sustainability
achievements over this trajectory.
ACTIVITIES
-Manipulation, packaging and commercialization of fruits and fresh vegetables.
-Milling, packaging and commercialization of peppers for paprika.
-De-shelling and commercialization of almonds.
-Fuel and fertiliser and phytosanitary supplies and similar products.
-Pressing process and commercialization of extra virgin olive oil.
-Commercialization of honey.
-Credit area and financial agency services by CajaMurcia
PRODUCTIVE LAND
-23.400 hectares of fruit and vegetable crops,
peppers for paprika, almond and olive trees all
situated in the communities of Murcia,
Andalusia, Community of Valencia and Castilla
la Mancha. 13.600 of which carry out
sustainable farming (integrated farming and
organic farming).
EXPLOITATIONS
-More than 4.000 agricultural exploitations in
the region of Murcia, Andalucia, the Valencian
Community and Castilla la Mancha.
FACILITIES
Coato has the most modern industrial facilities
for manipulating, packaging and transforming
products.

-South-east Spain, 45 km from Murcia in the
direction of Andalucia along the Mediterranean Motorway.
