In order to guarantee the quality, control and traceability of all products and processes, COATO dispose of an own management model called “QIC” that integrates synergistically from the crops to the client all quality, environment and food safety systems and models obtained during our continuous improvement to achieve a high-level excellence, being certified by prestigious entities as, for instance, AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification).
COATO has pioneered its sector of activity in terms of implanting quality and environment systems, as well as in European organic agriculture, having achieved the milestone of being the European company with the largest surface of organic agriculture crops.

EMAS Environmental Management and Audit System (EMAS)
The purpose of the Environmental Management and Audit System (EMAS) is to promote the improvement of the environmental actions of the private and public organizations of all economic activity sectors by: establishing and applying the environmental management systems according to the specifications of the standard ISO 14001; the objective and periodic evaluation of such systems; the training and active participation of the employees of the organizations; the information to the public and other interested parts.
